Infused Water with Forte Elements

One great way to get your water intake up is to infuse water! I have a million different combos but lately I have really loved lemon & strawberry. Its fresh and simple and so good!

I recently started adding Forte Elements into my water in the morning. It is an amino acid supplement. Amino acids are essential for repairing muscle, giving you energy, boost immune function, prevents against infection, and more.

I really like the flavor, the lemon lime 30 pack is my favorite. I also have noticed that I do feel a lot better, especially as I work out more – I don’t feel as sore as I have in the past.

The really interesting thing I learned about amino acids is you need more than your body produces! So we all could benefit from supplementing to get more amino acids in our bodies.

BBQ Chicken Sliders on a Sweet Potato Bun

Summer is for grilling right!? This is one of my new favorite recipes to make on our Traeger Grill!

 

INGREDIENTS

4 chicken breasts

1 cup BBQ sauce (Tessemaes is clean!)

1 can sliced pineapple

1/2 cup pineapple juice (I used this from the can)

2 large sweet potatoes (as wide as you can find!)

4 tbsp avocado oil

2 tsp garlic salt

DIRECTIONS

Start Traeger on Smoke, lid open, until the fire is established (4-5 minutes).
Coat chicken breasts in 2 tbsp avocado oil & garlic salt
Increase the temperature to 450F and let Traeger preheat, lid closed, for 15 minutes.

Place chicken breasts on the hot grill and cook 25 – 30 minutes, depending on breast size.

Mix BBQ Sauce & pineapple juice.
Cut sweet potatoes and coat with 2 tbsp avocado oil & garlic salt

15 minutes before the chicken is done, splash on the 3 BBQ Sauce mixture.

Remove from Traeger, stack together and enjoy.

Clean Cilantro Lime Ranch

Ingredients:
1 cup clean mayo (see recipe below)
1/2 cup canned coconut milk
1/2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp fresh dill
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/2 cup cilantro
1 lime, juiced

Directions:
Mix all ingredients into the Clean Mayo & enjoy!

 

Clean Mayo
Ingredients:
1 room temp egg
1/2 fresh lemon juice
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1 cup avocado oil

Directions:
Break egg first, add lemon juice, salt & mustard directly on top of the egg and use an immersion blender to mix it up.
Slowly add the avocado oil, slow is key! The slower, the frothier. Take about 2 minutes to get it to the desired consistency.

Ingredients:
36 slices of salami
1 cup diced tomato
1/2 cup sliced olives
1/2 cup fresh basil
Balsamic glaze

Directions:
Press 3 slices salami into muffin tin to fill the cup.
Bake at 400 for 10 min.
Mix together the remaining ingredients.
Spoon mixture into cups, drizzle with balsamic glaze & enjoy!
Side note, you could easily add mozzarella if you’re not eliminating dairy like me.

Lemon Grilled Shrimp Salad

Lemon Grilled Shrimp Salad

Ingredients:
2 pounds deveined shrimp
2 tbsp salt
1/4 cup avocado oil
1/4 cup parsley
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 lemons (juice of & zest!)

Directions:
Mix all ingredients in plastic bag together and let sit for 2 hours in the fridge.
Skewer shrimp onto sticks.
Grill on high for 5 minutes with the lid closed.
Toss on salad & enjoy!
For dressing for the salad I use a lemon garlic dressing.
